BoatUS Hurricane Tracking Center This site has all the basics plus a cool map with the wind radai deliniated on a tracking map. Worth a look, especially when you want to guestimate what conditions are like in a specific area.

The Weather Channel offers very good local radar coverage. Type a zip code or city name in the forcast form and go to the local site. Then click on the radar image and you will get local radar that is about 15 minutes old. The Cape Hatteras site is an example that is important to those of us on the Outer Banks.

WTKR Outer Banks Radar The radar image from Channel 3 in Norfolk. Located in Buxton this is the real deal for Outer Banks storm coverage

WRAL Radar  WRAL's (Raleigh) Doppler radio.  Shows most of NC, Eastern VA and SC.  Refreshes every 3 minutes,  very current.  More current that the cable TV. Great for any weather use. Unfortunately it stops about East Lake and does not reach the coast. Maybe next year.
